Langthwaite Business Park - Enterprise Zone Extension

The Langthwaite Extension is one of nine sites which was granted Enterprise Zone status by Leeds City Region during the second phase of development and was officially launched in April 2017.

Enterprise Zones were first established in 2012 and are designated areas across England that provide tax breaks and Government support to businesses that locate to them. 

Langthwaite Business Park, South Kirkby, is in the South East of the Wakefield District and was originally established in 1949. The park has grown considerably since then due to the locations excellent transport links to the A1, M62 & M1. The 120 businesses currently located on Langthwaite Business Park benefit from a pleasant environment around the park and the knowledge that they are working and trading in the lowest crime area in the Wakefield District.

The park has become an area of choice for many companies so the 11.94 hectares of development land that is the Enterprise Zone Extension is welcome for the parks continuing future development.
